Equanimity is Balance.
Chitta Vritti Nirodh is Balance. ( literal: Quieting of the mind. Chitta: Consciousness, Vritti: Fluctuations, Nirodh: Quieting of)
Human action is the search to find a moment of balance between the various dualities of life. This point of harmony is a function of our perceived reality and our inherent nature - different for every individual.

Every entity seeks to find its own balance basis its inherent nature. On the canvas the brush tries to create a balance between the force applied on it vs the resistance of the canvas. The paint & oil film stretched over the canvas has its own nature - how thin it’ll spread and how much light it will let through.
One needs to understand the nature of every entity, needs to work ‘with’ this nature. That is the only way to achieve balance at the subtlest level.
Imbalance has its own outcomes.
It can affect the nature of materials. When there is an imbalance between moisture & temperature in clouds, there is rain. When the environment of a seed is imbalanced with water, it sprouts. When our stable lives face situations - difficult or positively challenging- we grow.
Imbalance can create emotions. When, what we have (money, insta likes, objects) is lesser than what we desire, we are sad. When, our dislike is greater than our compassion, we feel anger/hatred.
How can imbalance be used to make someone feel an emotion
Is it the extent of the imbalance or the extent of the forces behind the imbalance that causes the intensity of experience
What elements of the work need to be shaped to narrow down to a specific emotion
How to play with the intensity of the imbalance to make it more and more subtle
Balance is eternal, imbalance is transient
Balance is stillness, imbalance is action
Balance is equanimity, imbalance is emotion
